Concert Date Change

The Spring Concert that was initially listed for Tuesday, May 22, had to be changed to Monday, May 21 because of sports conflicts. This is Spring Concert Part 1, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Wind Ensemble.  The Spring Concert Part 2 remains on Wednesday, May 23.

It's our 10th Annual Jazz Night!

It's a magical night when we turn our band room into "Bourbon Street" with live jazz bands, dancing, catered dinner, and lots of FUN! We will be featuring 6 different Jazz Bands including The Marauder Big Band, Jazz Combo, and Adult Jazz Band.

Join us for the Warren Mott Band Club's 10th Annual Jazz Night on Friday, June 1st, 2012. Dinner is served at 6:30pm. Pre-sale tickets are $15.00 each (Warren Mott Students, $11.00), tickets must be ordered by 5/24/2012. Click below for the order form and further instructions.

WMBC Monthly Meeting -- Special Invitation to Incoming Freshmen Parents

Incoming Freshmen Parents - we invite you to join us!! This is a great opportunity to come and meet other parents and to learn about the great band program at Warren Mott!

The next WMBC meeting is June 4th, 7:30-9:30pm, in the annex (band room). Come hear about the upcoming band events and about the future plans for the band! Show your support or get involved - all are welcome - it's a great, friendly, caring group!

CONGRATULATIONS TO...

Gabrielle Gaitan, Davy Lazar, Hanna Turoski, A'ndrea Gazdik, Zach Whitacre, Matt Praschan, Emma Burgin and Giselle Gaitan for making the MSBOA District XVI Honors Band. Their performance will be on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Dakota High School.

Also, a special congratulations to Davy Lazar, who made the Michigan Youth Arts Festival band; and Amanda Hercula, Emma Honsowetz, Victoria Frederick, Sydni Jordan, Taylor Lass, Sarah Praschan and Sarah Peplinski for being invited to audition for the MYAF performance at Western Michigan University. Individual Students and Ensembles are selected by the judges at State Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Congratulations to the Warren Mott Marauder Big Band!!

The Warren Mott Marauder Big Band just received Straight I's at State Jazz Festival - (Straight A's). The Big Band will now be eligible to perform at the Detroit Jazz Festival on Labor Day Weekend. They will be competing on Saturday, April 21st at Michigan State University in the Essential Ellington Competition. State Festival

We are extremely proud that 3 of our Warren Mott bands attended State Festival this year - Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. All 3 bands deserved the top overall rating of I, with Wind Ensemble and Concert receiving straight I's!!! Congratulations to all!!!!!!

2012 Band Banquet

It's Band Banquet Time -- the 40th Annual Band Banquet!! All band students and their families are invited to join us for a delightful evening as we remember the past band year, say good-bye to our graduating seniors, and recognize the many musical accomplishments of our students. This fun-filled evening includes a buffet dinner, watching a DVD montage of the band year, the presentation of awards, and announcements for next year. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer, you'll applaud! YOU WILL HAVE AN AWESOME TIME!! But you must purchase your tickets in advance, no tickets will be available at the door. Band Camp Registration

Mark your Calendars. Band Camp Registration will be April 18th and 19th. Packets will be mailed March 29th. Week 1 of Band Camp (for ALL Band members) will be July 30, 2012 thru August 2, 2012. Week 2 at CMU for Varsity Band Members will be August 5 - August 10, 2012. Looking forward to another great marching season!!
