Michigan State Fair 2007

ATTENTION PRESENT AND INCOMING BAND MEMBERS

If interested in working at STATE FAIR, or just want more information, contact Mark and Patty Kovach at (586-264-4203) Monday through Friday, 3pm to 9pm, or on the weekends from 9am to 9pm. You will be contacted in July 2007, if you return the attached "I WANT TO WORK AT STATE FAIR!!!" form. There are 13 days available to choose from.

STATE FAIR PARKING is an easy way to build up your students account. The money earned goes into your INDIVIDUAL student band account, then can be used toward instrument repair, music, band trips, and other band related expenses. In 2006, students received $5.00 per hour into their band account for the hours they worked. This years contract will determine the 2007 pay rate.

We will make every attempt to schedule fairly between students, however the cut off date to register is June 15th, NO EXCEPTIONS! You will see this flyer in the next few band newspapers, so there are multiple chances to join in. We have 3 gates, scheduling about 20 people per day during each of the 13 days of the State Fair.

You are responsible for:
1. Working the hours given, or finding your own replacement. (see hours on attached form)
2. Providing your own transportation
3. Bringing your own comfort items (chair, cooler, raincoat, etc)

Mott gets money deducted for shifts they have to fill. So, its very important to be there on time and sign in.

We are representing MOTT as a whole, so we must remember to be as courteous to our patrons as possible.

A short meeting will be planned over the summer to discuss in detail this opportunity.
