SPRING CONCERT – JAZZ NIGHT


Dear Student/Parent(s),


This coming Monday/Tuesday & Friday the bands will be performing for our final concerts of the school year.

We are looking forward to playing for you! Please read the enclosed information carefully and email me with any questions.


CONCERT DRESS FOR ALL CONCERT BANDS

Concert Uniforms Please make sure you have everything and that your tux shirt is ironed,

Men wear a white t-shirt under your tux shirt, black socks and dress shoes. No tennis shoes!!!

Please do not be late to your report time!!


Monday Schedule May 16th CADET AND CONCERT BANDS:

  • 6:15 p.m. Cadet Band– arrive, put instrument cases in jazz room next to stage, warm up

  • 6:30 p.m. Concert Band – arrive, put instrument cases in Detention room, wait for further instruction

  • 7:00 p.m. Performance begins

  • 7:45 p.m. Approximate ending time

Tuesday Schedule May 17th WIND SYMPHONE AND MARAUDER BIG BAND:

  • 6:15 p.m. Wind Symphony– arrive, put instrument cases in jazz room next to stage, warm up

  • 6:30 p.m. Those students not in Wind Symphony but in Big Band arrive

  • 7:00 p.m. Performance begins

  • 7:45 p.m. Approximate ending time


Friday Schedule May 20th MARAUDER BIG BAND/ COMBO JAZZ RED & JAZZ WHITE

  • 2:30 p.m.. ALL students involved will stay after to help with set up. It usually takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours. You may then go home and come back.

  • 5:30 p.m.. Arrive @ Mott – You will be given an order of group performances.

  • 6:30 p.m.. Music starts


DRESS FOR JAZZ NIGHT IS ALL BLACK – LADIES PANTS OR DRESS/SKIRT. DRESS SHOES EVERYONE. GUYS TIES PREFERABLY. DON’T NEED A JACKET UNLESS YOU WANT TO. WILL GET WARM ON STAGE.
