Band Booster Meeting: Monday, 10/5 at 6:30pm
Thank you to those who came out to the first Band Booster Meeting! Hope to see you at the booster meeting tonight. Join the board from 6-6:30pm for cider and donuts as a thank you for all you do for the band with the meeting to follow at 6:30pm. We will be looking for volunteers for last game party, Senior Night, and craft show!

Band O Rama - Sunday, Oct 11th at 4pm at Cousino High School
Band O Rama is an opportunity for us to prepare for our festival performance and receive feedback from a clinician. Band O Rama will be held at Cousino High School. Please see the schedule below and start to plan accordingly.
1:30p.m Load Trailer
2:00 p.m. Call Time @ Warren Mott High School (get dressed in uniform)
2:15 p.m. Drive to Cousino (No bus will be provided. Students are responsible for finding their own ride and bringing their instrument. Sousas and Drumline equipment will be taken in the trailer)
2:30 p.m. Call Time at Cousino (south back side of high school near stadium)
2:45 p.m. Rehearsal on Field with Cousino and Sterling
3:00 p.m. Warm Up behind school, south of stadium
4:00 pm. Cousino Performs SSB
4:05 p.m. WARREN MOTT PERFORMS
5:10 p.m. Massed Band Performance of America the Beautiful/Mingle
5:30 p.m. Report back to Mott/Put Away Uniform and get changed
6:30 p.m. Estimated dismissal after changing out of uniforms
MSBOA Marching Festival - Tuesday, Oct 13th at LCN
This year's MSBOA Marching Festival is Tuesday, October 13th at L'anse Cruese North High School. Tickets are now on sale. They are $5 each and can be purchased in the band room starting today! Please send your student with cash or check written to WMBC with the amount of tickets written on it. Tickets will be sold up to Tuesday, 10/13 and all proceeds go to the band. Profit from tickets purchased at the door go to MSBOA so please plan to buy a ticket through the band prior to the event.

4:30 p.m. Report to WMHS – Get into uniform – trailer will be loaded after school
5:00 p.m. Leave Warren Mott H.S.
5:45 p.m. Arrive at L’anse Creuse North HS

7:05 p.m. Travel to Field
7:15 p.m. WARREN MOTT PERFORMS

Parent Teacher Conferences
I will not be available for conferences on Wednesday, October 14th in person due to working an MSBOA festival shift. Please sign up for a virtual time between 1:30-7:25pm on Thursday, October 15th. If you are not able to make a time on Thursday, October 15th, but would still like to meet please email me. Parent Teacher conferences info and how to make an appointment is attached to this email.
Last Game Party
After our last game on Friday, October 23rd we will have our last game party from 9:30-10:30pm to celebrate our seniors.
Please send your student with a desert or drink to share with their section and the band. Items can be dropped off at call time for the game. If you are interested in volunteering to help at the last game with set up or tear down please contact Susan Tempio or a band booster member.
Glow show
This year instead of glow sticks, I would recommend battery powered fairy lights. Look for above LED 50 for them to be bright enough to be able to be seen on the field. Please purchase a battery powered light pack for your student. I would recommend the link below. Have your student coordinate and find a few other members of their section to split the pack of 4.
Some glow sticks and a few light packs will be provided by the boosters for students not able to get their own battery pack. If students would like to do multiple light packs or light packs and glowsticks or light up hats/glasses they are welcome to put multiple together. I encourage them to have fun with it and go all out!
ALL STATE
If your student registered for all state, I should hear back about audition times in the next week or two, but most likely your student's audition will be on Thursday, October 21st at Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights. I will share the info as soon as I have it.
Oakland Honors Band
Your student should have received an email today that shared if they have been accepted or not. If they have been accepted please complete the payment to officially register them.
Lawrence Tech Drumline Day
Drumline members have been invited to attend the Lawrence tech band day on Sunday, October 18th. Our entire drumline is not able to make it, so we will not be performing as a drumline, but students will be able to participate in the sectional from 1-2pm and see the pistons drumline performance from 4:30-5pm in addition to the other drumlines from 2-4:30pm. Students will need to bring their own drumline equipment home on Friday to bring that Sunday. I am waiting to hear back from the organizer to if there is an individual participant fee for the sectional and will let you know when I hear from them, but most likely it will be free for them to attend as individuals.
