Hello Band Families and Students,

MSBOA Marching Festival - Tuesday, Oct 13^th at LCN

This year's MSBOA Marching Festival is Tuesday, October 13^th at L'anse Cruese North High School. This date was changed from Wednesday to Tuesday 10/13 so please make sure to update your calendars. I will share our performance time when I have it.

Polish Festival

We will be performing in the Polish Festival on Sunday 9/13 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church: 30003 Ryan Road in Warren, MI near Warren Mott. Call time will be 11:15am. We will perform at 11:30am. We will play SSB, and 2-3 stand tunes and then students will be free to enjoy the festival of food trucks, music, and other activities.

This is an option gig. Students are responsible for getting themselves to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Additionally, they will need to bring their instrument home over the weekend, because we will not be able to get into Warren Mott on Sunday.

Monday, September 14^th - Practice 6-8pm (5-6pm Guard Sectional) - Band Room/Parking Lot

Wednesday, September 16^th - Practice 6-8pm (5-6pm Guard Sectional) - FOOTBALL FIELD

Thursday, September 17^th - MB Leadership Field Trip 3-8pm

Friday, September 18^th - PEP Away Game at Lakeview High School

Monday, September 21^st - Practice 6-8pm (5-6pm Guard Sectional) - FOOTBALL FIELD

We will be playing for a portion of the powder puff game from 7-8pm.

Wednesday, September 23^rd - Practice 6-8pm (5-6pm Guard Sectional) - FOOTBALL FIELD

Friday, September 25^th - Homecoming Parade and Game

We will not be going to the PEP Away game on 9/11 at Port Huron High School!

WM Homecoming Game 9/25 - Alumni Band

Homecoming Football Game is Friday 9/25. We will be welcoming alumni back to march in the parade from Beer with us as well as performing in the game. Please see the 9/25 timeline below and share the Alumni Band Survey with any Alumni that may be interested: Warren Mott Homecoming Game 9/25/26 – Fill out form

4:00pm - Call Time at Mott Band Room to get dressed

4:30pm - Call Time at Beer Middle School (Students must provide their own transportation to Beer or Walk!)

If you are willing to shuttle students please arrive at Mott around 4:10pm to start driving groups of students

4:45pm - Parade Line Up

5:15pm - Parade Begins

5:45pm - Parade complete/arrive at Mott, head back to Band Room

6:30pm - Step off to March to the Stadium

For Homecoming we will be marching our half time show at the end of the game not during half time. Please plan to stay until the end of the game to see our performance!

Oakland Honors Band: Concert Band, Jazz Band, and STEEL Drum :) honors band opportunity! REGISTRATION DUE 9/18

ALL State: Prepare excerpt and scales, $15 to audition, auditions are Oct 20 and 21 at a high school within 15-20 minutes

REGISTRATION FORM and $15 (cash or check written to WMBC) DUE 9/18

Saturday, September 19th, 8:30am Call Time

BGSU Honors Band - Bowling Green State Honors Band Applications due 9/23. Have your student send me an email with their audition tape and info from the google form.

MSBOA Honors Band - more info in November!

WM Band Jacket

The Colorguard team will be ordering Colorguard Jackets and offered to open it up to include WM Band Member Jackets. If you are interested in a Jacket. Cash or Check written to WMBC and registration form is due Wednesday 9/16. Form is attached to this email.

Band Booster Meeting: Monday, 10/5 at 6:30pm
