Hello Band Families and Students,
We have a busy day on Friday with our Homecoming parade and game! Please make sure your students go to bed early Thursday night and have snacks and water for after the parade and before the game Friday evening.
Concert Music
We will be starting Concert Music on Monday, September 28th. Please ensure that your students has their concert band supplies by Monday (or that it has at least been ordered if ordering online) or they will lose participation points.
Flutes: Cleaning cloth (any off amazon works)
Clarinets/Saxophones: Reeds (3.0 or above) and cork grease
Trombones: Slide Cream (Recommended (linked here) )
Tubas/Trumpets: Valve Oil (Recommended (linked here)
Percussion: Stick Bag with a pair of mallets and drum sticks (Label with their name on it and the sticks!!)
I would recommend you visit A&G to purchase supplies or use one of the recommended links from above.
Additional Performance Opportunities!
MSBOA Honors Band - form is attached. Students must complete the QR Code on the form and turn in the bottom half to the band room by next Friday 10/2 to be nominated.
Band Booster Meeting: Monday, 10/5 at 6:30pm
Thank you to those who came out to the first Band Booster Meeting! Mark your calendars for the next meeting Monday, Oct 5th at 6:30pm. We will be looking for volunteers for last game party, Senior Night, and craft show!

WM Homecoming Game 9/25 - Alumni Band
Band Students perform at pep rally 5th and 6th hour. (Non-marching band students are welcome to participate in the pep rally)
4:00pm - Call Time at Mott Band Room to get dressed
4:30pm - Call Time at Beer Middle School (Students must provide their own transportation to Beer or Walk!)
If you are willing to shuttle students please arrive at Mott around 4:10pm to start driving groups of students
4:45pm - Parade Line Up
5:15pm - Parade Begins
5:45pm - Parade complete/arrive at Mott, head back to Band Room
6:30pm - Step off to March to the Stadium
For Homecoming we will be marching our half time show at the end of the game not during half time. Please plan to stay until the end of the game to see our performance!
Band O Rama - Sunday, Oct 11th at 4pm at Cousino High School
Band O Rama is an opportunity for us to prepare for our festival performance and receive feedback from a clinician. Band O Rama will be held at Cousino High School. Please see the schedule below and start to plan accordingly.
1:30p.m Load Trailer
2:00 p.m. Call Time @ Warren Mott High School (get dressed in uniform)
2:15 p.m. Drive to Cousino (No bus will be provided. Students are responsible for finding their own ride and bringing their instrument. Sousas and Drumline equipment will be taken in the trailer)
2:30 p.m. Call Time at Cousino
4:00 pm. Cousino Performs SSB
4:05 p.m. WARREN MOTT PERFORMS
5:10 p.m. Massed Band Performance/Mingle
5:30 p.m. Report back to Mott/Put Away Uniform and get changed
6:30 p.m. Estimated dismissal after changing out of uniforms
MSBOA Marching Festival - Tuesday, Oct 13th at LCN
This year's MSBOA Marching Festival is Tuesday, October 13th at L'anse Cruese North High School. Tickets will go on sale next week. They are $5 each and can be purchased in the band room starting Monday 10/28. Please send your student with cash or check written to WMBC with the amount of tickets written on it. Tickets will be sold up to Tuesday, 10/13 and all proceeds go to the band. Tickets purchased at the door go to MSBOA so please plan to buy a ticket through the band prior to the event.

4:30 p.m. Report to WMHS – Get into uniform – trailer will be loaded after school
5:00 p.m. Leave Warren Mott H.S.
5:45 p.m. Arrive at L’anse Creuse North HS
6:00 p.m. Pictures
6:35 p.m. Warm Up
7:05 p.m. Travel to Field
7:15 p.m. WARREN MOTT PERFORMS
9:15 p.m. Event Ends / load busses
